Although outcomes are favorable after first-line therapy based on treatment regimens for acute lymphoblastic leukemia, the prognosis of patients with recurrent or refractory disease remains extremely poor, with overall survival rates of only about 50%. This article presents an analysis of factors contributing to resistance to therapy and highlights current strategies for the treatment of relapsed/refractory lymphoblastic lymphoma.</p>
