At present, in case of EFS or OS curve construction the Kaplan-Meier method is a classical method for analyzing incomplete observations. But it has serious limitations as a method of RFS analysis. The article demonstrates that for correct analysis of the possibility of some of the competing events competing risks analysis should be used. The article also describes methods of survival analysis that are currently employed with indication of related definitions and formulas.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В клинической практике для анализа результатов терапии пациентов с онкологическими заболеваниями применяют следующие, различающиеся между собой, типы выживаемости: бессобытийную (event-free survival - EFS), общую (overall survival - OS) и безрецидивную выживаемость (relapse-free survival - RFS). На сегодняшний день в случае построения кривых EFS или OSметод Каплана-Майера является классическим методом анализа неполных наблюдений. Однако он имеет серьезные ограничения как метод анализа RFS. В статье показано, что для корректного анализа вероятности наступления тех или иных конкурирующих друг с другом событий необходимо использовать метод конкурирующих рисков (competing risks).
